Riley's Page!
Name: Riley
When we got him, his name was Frasier. It didn't suit him at all. I
put together a list of more suitable names, and Riley was the one
that stuck. I think it's because he now has The Life of riley.
Background: Adopted September 2001
Scot and I adopted Riley from a cat rescue in Dallas called Texas Cares.
He was in pretty bad shape when the rescue got him. He had been in
the vet's for over a month, recovering from a giant abcess on his back
(thanks to his first owner). And when he was placed in an adoption
cage at a Petco, he bit an old lady who was poking at him. We took
him home as
a foster
kitten
anyway and when the month was up, we adopted him.
Personality: Rambunctious
Riley is
a Maine Coon, which means that he might grow up to be a very
large
cat.
(Maine
Coons
can
weigh
up to or above 24
lbs when an adult!) True to his breed, he has a huge, plume of a
tail and he loves to talk to his sisters, to Scot and I, to
himself, to the rose bushes...
Riley enjoys rough-housing with his sisters (although they don't usually
enjoy it), following Scot and I around the house, and playing in the
flowerbeds when we do yard work.
